I started feeding wild birds in April with a two perch tube feeder. I filled it with black oil sunflower seeds. In matter of three days there were yellow finch and pine siskin feeding.
Over the span of two weeks there were 14 different species of wild birds coming by. I then purchased a four perch tube feeder which raspberry finch, chickadees and yellow finch visit every day. Below the feeders, when seeds are on the ground a young male cardinal and female cardinal come to eat.
When looking out the patio windows there is continuous activity. Before I put up a feeder I never notice any birds other than Robins.
